The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Sr. Supplier Quality Analyst.

This position will ensure that purchased parts and assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity, and cost requirements. This position will develop and implement supplier quality work assignments. Provide leadership in developing strategies to enhance the quality of incoming product while meeting corporate metrics. This role will have a home shift on 1st shift, but will be expected to flex hours and shift as needed to support the business objectives on 3rd shift periodically also with reasonable lead time.

Job Responsibilities Demonstrates in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in Supplier Quality and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), to include: Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), use of 8D investigative process and continuous improvement techniques. Impacts quality within suppliers by identifying, initiating and completing necessary corrective/preventive actions to achieve desired performance targets. Solves complex Supplier Quality problems and leads corrective actions to drive robust solutions. Works independently and with minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for Supplier Quality Analysts with less experience. Communicates difficult or sensitive information and builds relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders including management. Provides Leadership in identifying the big picture, leading / training / coaching team and assisting shift leadership. Will provide tactical direction to SQA's and SQT's while addressing issues or for skill development. In the absence of the Lead and/or Manager will fill in to support the business needs. Provides work direction to professional employees and sets strategy, process, and approval with all employees, contractors and suppliers.

Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Education Specifications Engineering discipline is preferred, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial

Experience Requirements Required Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience Ability to apply knowledge of best practices in Supplier Quality and how their own area integrates with others to drive results. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and/or lead a group or team providing guidance to members. Proven track record of gathering and analyzing data to make decisions and recommendations that solve problems and prevent reoccurrence. Expertise working with supplier capacity planning and review and ability to influence decisions. Primary shift is 1st shift. Facility works 4 days x 10 hour shift model starting Nov 1, 2023 with hours of 6:30am - 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday. Support Friday production and may support Saturday production on occasional or rotational basis. On call by cell and email on off hours. Travel required up to 25%. Preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Experience with SAP software Knowledge of GD&T in bluep ints

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
