Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Program Analyst in Warren, Michigan

About the Position: TACOM is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan which is in Detroit's largest suburb located about 15 miles north of downtown. The area offers world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, several prestigious universities, and collegiate and professional athletic venues. Responsibilities Provides staff guidance and direction to elements engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with office and higher echelon objectives. Assists in the development, maintenance and coordination of a responsive financial management program to assure availability of resources to meet established milestones and events for Logistics Power Projection goals. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates accomplishment of program by review of reports, studies, projects, information and recommendations provided by staff members, support personnel, and other organizations. Maintains cognizance of the organization’s financial plan through review of periodic cost summaries, review and analysis of those reports to include but not limited to recommend reprogramming actions to assure maximum utilization of available funds. May serve as team leader for special projects. As team leader, is responsible for coordinating the activities of a multi-functional team. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1)Tracking and executing expenditures in the year of execution; 2) Reviewing automated systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) or General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) to track and execute funding; and 3) Tracking and/or submitting required documentation for Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPRs), creating Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and/or Purchase Orders (PO's) in Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), and tracking financial postings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial Management Problem Solving Teamwork Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
