ITT Corporation HR Manager in Valencia, California
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our HR team in Valencia, CA. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to ensure our business objectives are met while driving culture related strategies for our Connect and Control Technology employees. This position also provides tactical support in the planning, developing, and executing HR services, policies and procedures that are pivotal in helping the organization maintain its competitive edge.
This is a role that reports to the Senior H.R. Leader in Valencia and partners with our corporate HR organization on a wide-range of HR activities. As the key partner for our leaders and employees, you will make an incredible impact on how we achieve our growth plans.
Primary Responsibilities :
Partners with business leaders to understand all of the short and long-term objectives and provides direction on HR-related solutions and associated change management.
Provides guidance and manages the day to day HR activities for assigned client groups at the Valencia site including; workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, career development and performance management.
Fosters a world-class talent acquisition process focused on attracting and retaining high performing exempt and non-exempt employees.
Leads/supports employee engagement initiatives and process improvements to foster/sustain positive working environment. Supports and counsels employees and leaders on employee relations issues to facilitate positive resolutions to work-related conflicts, utilizes expert communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, practices, state/federal labor laws and mandates.
Conducts thorough and objective investigations as needed, assesses risk and determines appropriate course of action, working closely with HR leadership and legal.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR Management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Partners with EHS to pro-actively address improvements to our safety culture and assists with managing & monitoring Workers Compensation claims

Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field/discipline
At least 5+ years of increasing Human Resources Generalist experience, with at least one year as a Manager or HR Business Partner, preferably in mid to large-sized manufacturing organizations
PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Experience in an array of human resources areas including: recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee development, employee relations and change management Able to adapt job activities methods or processes to satisfy changing requirements
Strong consultative and partnership skills; working with managers and employees to understand needs and deliver solutions
Customer-focused, proactive, positive and driven to achieve departmental and corporate goals in a fast pace and dynamic environment
Strong knowledge of HR practices, regulations and policies
Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws/regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
Good analytical skills and must be proficient in MS Office suite World class problem-solving, critical thinking and relationship skills.
