+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Machinist - day shift: | | | | The Machinist is responsible a variety of activities including but | | not limited to: | | | | - Analyzing specification drawings to gain a thorough understanding | | of requirements. | | - Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts. | | - Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the | | manufacturing plan. | | - Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly. Make | | adjustments to offsets, speeds and feeds | | - Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems | | arise. | | - Work with the inspection department in Inspecting in process and | | finished parts for flaws and defects. | | - Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop. | | - Maintain work are clean at all times | | | | | | Responsibilities may shift over time and are subject to change. | | Must be very detail oriented; Familiarity with Computer Numerical | | Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided | | manufacturing. Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes and | | milling machines. Math skills to take precise measurements and make | | calculations. Demonstrate oral, written communication and computer | | skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective | | manufacturing plans based on specifications. Problem-solving skills | | to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process. | | Ability to move up to 50 pounds and remain stationary throughout a | | shift. Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the | | risk of workplace accidents. Blue print reading and use of measuring | | instruments, calipers, micrometers, height gauge. | | | | Safety Equipment and Training | | | | Please utilize carts or other assistance when transporting large or | | heavy items. Training for each assigned task will be provided, | | including software or tools. | | | | High School diploma or GED required; Machining certifications | | preferred; Minimum 5 years' experience in 3 or 5 axis milling | | machines.
