Job Title: Design Engineer III

Duties: Regal Rexnord Corporation seeks a Design Engineer III in Tipp City, Ohio to conduct electronic hardware development. Provide product development and support for the Commercial Air Solutions Technology Team. Develop schematics for electronic hardware and conduct simulations utilizing schematic design models and circuit boards for ERM motors, HVAC motors, and pool pump motors using the (PCB)-based electronics design system and analysis tools including PSpice. Develop prototypes and conduct circuit board testing as well as design improvements for motor products and components. Conduct reliability, thermal, and performance testing of motors with integrated controls using test equipment including scopes, curve tracers, semiconductor testers, Dyne test, and RLC. Create PCB footprints and schematic libraries for motor products. Design PCB shape and finalize power module location. Create PCB spacing compliant with UL/CE standards. Create PCB fabrication specifications based on applications, environmental conditions, and customer requirements. Finalize PCB design to ensure cost-effective manufacturing. Create and update the Bills of Materials and drawings of Control Boards. Serve as primary technical support for design issues. Local telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week. Annual salary: $134,846 -- 161,815.

Minimum Requirements: Must have twelve progressive years of electronic hardware development experience. Must have at least five years of experience in each of the following: 1. Using PSpice to design circuit boards for motor products; 2. Developing circuit board prototypes and design improvements; 3. Conducting reliability, thermal, and performance testing of motors with integrated controls using test equipment including scopes, curve tracers, semiconductor testers, Dyne test, and RLC; 4. Creating PCB footprints and schematic libraries, designing PCB shape, creating PCB spacing compliant with UL/CE standards, creating PCB fabrication specifications, and finalizing PCB design; and 5. Creating and updating the Bills of Materials and drawings of Control Boards.
