Job Description

The purpose of Component Planning Team is to delight customers with the right components shipped to the right warehouses all the time. We ensure our core capabilities (Operation Mode and Component Planning Processes) and its advantages are utilized by executing production and inventory (elements and raw material) management in an effective and efficient way.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To order required material from other LEGO plants to make feasible plan for FG production by analysis of tradeoffs and applying lean principles.

  • Root cause analysis and follow up to corrective actions when a shortage of material impacts FG production plan, Expedite and coordinate special deliveries when needed.

  • Ensure the system updated with the most accurate data.

  • Establish a communication between planning in other sites.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels by actively and proactively take decision that avoids the excess and obsolete material.

  • Manage material Damaged and Rejected for disposition.

  • Create an intercompany cross flow of excess materials to other sites that have demand.

  • Follow up in deliveries quantity and dates in outbound orders. Report any inconsistency on outbound orders to other LEGO plants

  • Follow up as Local in Engineer Changes Order (ECOs)

  • Create a monthly Scrap order of obsolete material and make proposal to avoid it.

  • Works actively with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Manage and control de use of airfreight by actively taking actions that reduce the costs.

  • Accomplish other tasks assigned by manager.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree inIndustrial Engineering or similar.

  • Two years’ inside supply chain, production and inventory management of a manufacturing plant with capacity limitations in equipment/materials, understanding of a manufacturing organization and the relationship between its departments in a local and global environment.

  • ERP management systems (SAP, Baan, etc.), MS Excel, MS Access, Power BI

  • Advanced oral and written English
