Staff Accountant opportunity in Greater Springfield area!

Hybrid opportunity!

• This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organization who is continuously growing organically and through new acquisitions!

• Lots of internal growth opportunity here – this role has a direct growth path to a Senior Accountant within the next 12-18 months!

Main Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliation.

• Maintain and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data

• Assist in the preparation of sales and use tax returns & financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Provide support during internal and external audits, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the finance department.

• Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• MBA, MS, or CPA is a plus

• 3+ years of experience in accounting roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
