Requisition ID 31256 Category Marketing Position Type Full-Time About the Role Canon USA is seeking a Sales Engineering Manager - Copiers/Projectors (Manager, Sales Engineering). The Sales Engineering Manager will manage a field sales engineering team, to provide pre-sales technical support for field sales team. Pre-sales technical support includes, but not limited to, sales training to partners, product demonstrations, attendance of industry shows, events, and partner open house, handling technical inquiries. A manager will also engage the field sales engineering on his own, in addition to managing team members under field sales engineering team. This position is full time and is considered virtual. The office will be open 5 days a week; however you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Your Impact - Responsible for managing the field engineering team and becoming part of the printing and scanning solution managerial roll to work in developing future strategies - Help sales increase revenue by providing pre-sales technical support to all AEs, Sales channels, and ISV partners - Use the Sales Engineers' skills to drive sales/revenue growth of scanner printer products - Works with sales team as well as channel partners such as, dealers, resellers, distributors and retailers in product training - Contributes in closing deals - Develops extensive knowledge about the industry technology and partners - Leads field engineering team within division. Complete Biweekly Reports and BiweeklySupport Forms on time - Attend industrial events and shows to retrieve leads for potential sales opportunities, as well as to gather information for understanding market trends - Manages a part or all of a functional area (such as a department or region) and ensures goals, deadlines and budgets are met for area of responsibility - A tactical role, focused on meeting operational objectives, mobilizing resources and assisting in the development of policies and procedures - Has a good understanding of organizational objectives and interacts regularly with other managers across the organization - Selects, develops and evaluates subordinate employees - Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 7 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one of whom must be exempt) - Technical expertise in office equipment such as copiers and projectors is required - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to travel overnight, up to 50% - May require considerable travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
