Responsibilities: Install and program robots, develop software to execute robotic motions for a broad range of applications, including 3D printing using robots, welding, cutting and machining Manage robotic configuration designs Support materials and manufacturing technology development Work with internal/external customers to identify technology development opportunities, plan and conduct exploratory development efforts in the areas of automated production system Create new technology development proposals for process automation and cost reduction. Perform requirement analysis, develop system architecture and solution, implement new automation systems Develop research and test plans, conduct tests and generate detailed test reports. Develop requirements for target applications Apply engineering knowledge to generate engineering standards/specifications Monitor industry trends in the areas of industrial robotic applications Meet project deadlines and report status Coordinate with procurement and suppliers/partners/vendors to ensure efficient project execution Ensure work is completed in accordance with Blue Origin policies and procedures Review and approve technical reports from internal and external suppliers Write technical proposals for internal/external funding opportunities Facilitate technology transition from research and development to production Qualifications: +4 years of experience in controls system design and integration Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI Programming or equivalent PLC/HMI experience Siemens+ Beckhoff+ Proficiency with Fanuc and Kuka robotic programming and integration Experience with Servo integration and tuning Ability to understand and troubleshoot machine schematics including electrical and fluid power schematics. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) integration experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions from statistical machine data Good written and verbal communication skills, and Experience with developing, writing and updating test procedures Knowledge of fabrication and integration processes, systems engineering and quality control practices Ability to work optimally both independently and as part of our interdisciplinary team Ability to foster positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of teamwork and inclusion!
