Responsibilities

The primary responsibility for this position will be managing the procurement process through our lead public agencies and be the primary “point of contact” for contract management. The specific tasks involved in this position may include: RFP Completion (Development, Execution and Implementation), agreement amendment evaluation - preparation - processing, management of the agreement library of current & expired agreements, management & continual improvement to the RFP process, evaluate new tools for conducting and managing RFPs and vendors (e.g., cloud based solutions) and establishing a plan for the replacement and addition of current and future RFPs. Will actively foster and maintain the best possible relationship with our Lead Public Agencies.

Responsibilties include:

  • Implements strategies with intent to increase vendor volume and agreement completion within specifically identified product categories based on identified needs and opportunities provided by members and/or vendors.

  • Actively participates in vendor onboarding and related improvement projects.

  • Positioned and operating as an identified point of contact for Member and Vendor inquiries related to NPPGov cooperative agreements.

  • Own and manage the process of contract category development.a. Lead the solicitation development process for categories as assigned by the Manager.b. Contributes to the research of all current and potential solicitation categories by sharing the voice of the vendors.c. Transfer market intelligence and category development knowledge to Management, ensuring an effective category evaluation process and smooth transition of all awardedcontracts to Management.

  • Ensures contract development throughout the entire life of the contract. Coordinates and facilitates contract development, which includes the following:a. Assisting in the creation of amendments.b. Facilitates the creation and updating of contract overview.c. Maintains proper vendor documentation on NPPGov Website.

  • Create and maintain a schedule of:a. Current vendor agreements to anticipate renewals and expirations of agreements.b. Future categories/RFPs to maintain a constant flow of agreements with current and new vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required plus the following:Minimum of 2 years managing and directing governmental RFP process.Minimum of 2 years directly working with cooperative agreements either as a purchaser or cooperative employee.

  • Basic understanding of governmental contract construction, amending and flow.

  • Preferred Experience:5 + years managing and/or directing governmental RFP processes.5+ years directly working with cooperative agreements either as a purchaser or cooperative employee.

  • Extensive experience with corporate agreements, governmental procurement processes, management of multiple large projects simultaneously. Direct past experience to government procurement officials.

  • Documented experience identifying a problem, analyzing the root cause and suggesting various solutions to the problem.

  • In addition, this position should be able to anticipate issues in advance to limit the financial and corporate impact of problems with the RFP process or agreements.

Pay Range

$30.63 - $41.06 /hour
