ITT Bornemann is a market-leading provider of multiphase pumping systems for the oil and gas industry, and also serves the industrial, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. Recently acquired by ITT, Bornemann expands our portfolio of highly engineered pumps, systems and aftermarket capabilities for global oil and gas and other attractive end markets.
This Sales Manager will be responsible for development of the United States and Canada food and pharmaceutical territory, of which the primary focus shall be upon the United States market and secondary focus upon the Canadian market. Additionally, this person will coordinate all activities within these areas, provide training, technical support, and joint sales calls for the distribution network. Establishing plans and strategies to further develop the North American customer base and key accounts and develop new applications for the company’s product in these accounts/market segments.
The scope and magnitude of the Regional Manager are as follows:
Development of a business plan and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals.
Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
Responsible for the development and performance of the distributor network with 80% of available time dedicated to the US market and the balance dedicated to the Canadian market.
Identify and develop necessary sales and marketing tools for both the distributors and key accounts. This should include technical articles, advertising, and trade show participation as deemed necessary.
Establish sales and revenue objectives on an annual and quarterly basis.
Provide technical training to end users, OEM’s, and distributors/agents.
Provide timely and accurate proposals to end users, OEM’s, and distributors/agents.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding market trends and performance.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Write and implement new procedures.
Responsibility for team of Sales Representatives.
Monitor all projects in the pre-order phase.
Train new employees.
Travel North America to promote and train distributors, end users, and OEM’s.
Develop sales practices for the North American sanitary market.
Attend networking events.

Skills and Experience:
Education: A 4 year degree in engineering and/or business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in technical sales focusing on high end positive displacement pumps for food and pharmaceutical applications, developing a comprehensive staff, developing new markets, working with direct end users, OEM’s, and a distribution/agent network.
Willingness to travel and work in a global network of professionals.
A proven ability to sell and educate on the technical merits of equipment and not on price.
Proven leadership skills and experience in development of distribution.
Extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship with a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Sound knowledge of the sanitary/hygienic manufacturing industries.
Problem solver who requires little guidance or past precedence to solve issues.
