Eaton’s IS AER MSD is currently seeking a Quality Inspector III. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Core hours: 7AM-3:30PM

The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $27.00-$29.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on parts and products, including but not limited to mechanical and visual inspections.

• Work to approved inspection checklists, engineering drawings, purchase orders, work instructions and specifications.

• Utilize Non-Conforming Material Control process to document parts that do not meet specifications.

• Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required

• Minimum of 3 years experience with mechanical and visual inspection of parts and assemblies.

• Minimum of 3 years experience interpreting Engineering Drawings, Workmanship Standards, Military and Federal Specifications, and basic GD&T (Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Orchard Park, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge.

• Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP) knowledge

• Minimum of 3 years experience using ERP software in a professional employment setting.

• First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 knowledge

• ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification.

Skills

• Ability to interact with a wide variety of support personnel, including but not limited to, Associates, Supervision, Management and Engineers.

• Computer, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; organization and time management skills.
