Eaton Corporation Business Manager in Orchard Park, New York

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Business Manager. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Eaton Mission Systems specializes in the manufacturing of life saving devices, pneumatic systems, military and space applications.

The Business Manager will lead and manage the Business Management team to effectively and efficiently achieve allocated metrics and growth targets. Work with the team to execute transactions and support achievement of “Perfect Delivery” effectively and efficiently. This position will establish, track, report and manage the Business Management Team metrics and activities.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and compliant proposals to customers.

  • Direct and manage Business Management Team and metrics.

  • Drive booking forecast for allocated area of responsibility and output to Business Unit leadership.

  • Input into resources, structure and capability to enable excellent execution for Business Management and back office function.

  • Relentlessly drive and track performance against monthly, quarterly and annual business plans.

  • Oversee and drive strong financial metrics and performance with new and existing customers.

  • Drive quality and timely responses of customer deliverables.

  • Establish and report on metrics, including Customer Satisfaction, to measure and continuously improve performance of the Business Management activities.

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience leading a team

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation is available for this opportunity. Only candidates residing within a 50 mile radius of Orchard Park, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military is exempt from this geographical limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school and/or Business discipline

  • Masters Degree

  • Three (3) years or higher as a Leader of People

  • Three (3) years experience presenting to internal and external senior management

  • Three (3) years experience of demonstrating excellent customer and industry relationships

  • Experience in presenting SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations plan)

Skills

  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen, pricing and negotiation experience, in relevant business contracting environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive bookings and business forecasts

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to function in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary sales and business development environment.

  • Strong knowledge of customer and end-user operational needs and buying influences.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Delivery focused mindset
