This is an Interim Leader position

Assignment length is 13 weeks with option to extend

Responsible for managing Sterile Processing department in providing patient care equipment and surgical instrumentation reprocessing functions including collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, and distribution. Manages the surgical instrument inventory and supplies supporting department activities. Serves as subject matter expert and resource for product reprocessing needs. Develops and ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures as well as budget. Works collaboratively with various departments to ensure safe, efficient, and effective instrument and equipment management. Models’ excellence in customer service. Develops staff competencies and ensures the highest of standards with both internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum, Associates Degree + 5-7 years of Leadership experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

  • Five years' experience as a Processing Technician with advancement in the role and/or supervisory role.

  • Certification as a Processing Technician, Certified Processing Leadership credential and/or Certified Surgical Technologist.

  • Five years of progressive experience in Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist or Registered Nurse with intra-operative experience.

  • Preferred five years management experience with documented success managing associate performance and behaviors; demonstrated knowledge of process improvement including LEAN principles; demonstrated skills in ensuring quality and customer service standards are met.

Pay $2800.00 Gross weekly rate

Trinity Health FirstChoice pay housing and travel above the weekly rate
