JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details Job Location IB Milwaukee - Home office - West Allis, WI Remote Type Fully Remote Position Type Part Time Job Category Design Description JOB SUMMARY: The Designer II is responsible for leading comprehensive design solutions on a Federal Government project. This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours/week. This is a limited-term position that is estimated to end in February of 2025. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in discussions with Federal Government customer to determine design intent, project schedule and budget. Evaluates customer\'s needs, analyzes requirements in the Statement of Work (SOW), documents design objectives and determines spatial requirements through programming and space planning. Initiates and responds to project-related correspondence with customers; communicates with all colleagues in a timely manner. Sources unique F, F & E solutions for projects, conducts product research, and requests product quotations from vendors, Develops design solutions and specific layouts for customers using AutoCAD, CET and CAP 2020. Validates furniture plans against architectural, construction and electrical drawings. Conducts field verification and site visits as required. Maintains continual communication with project team regarding the customer and the project. Keeps all parties informed of significant project details and events up until the time of order entry. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have completed either a two-year or a four-year accredited interior design program. Requires 5-7 years of workplace design experience with extensive contract furniture product knowledge. Designing and specifying MillerKnoll is a plus. Advanced AutoCAD skills and proficiency using 2020 software, CET Designer and Microsoft Suite of Programs. Have a thorough understanding of building codes, life safety concerns and ADA requirements and the ability to incorporate these into interior space planning and furniture layouts.
