REXNORD Design Engineer II in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Configuration management and tailoring for an extensive portfolio of electro-mechanical devices that encompasses tens of thousands of end products. Internal and external customer engagement using company and customer driven workflows (CRM). Application Engineering for friction braking devices, operation and integration with motors, clutches, gears, couplings and friction holding systems. Lead design efforts for manufacturability, process flow, service and reliability. Design or apply test protocols for different product applications, environments and ingress protection. GD&T, FMEA, material selection, finishes, diecasting, sand and investment casting, injection molding, machining, stamping and other process selection experience. Conduct project management and Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) practices. Perform some setup, troubleshooting, product performance and capability tests for mechanical and electromechanical devices as part of the learning and development process. Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEMA, ASME and other international regulatory bodies and agency design standards. Experience with Mil-Spec standards is desirable. Continuous improvement and demonstrated mastery in diverse settings are valuable in the role. PPAP, supplier development and qualification experiences are desirable. Manage multiple projects at the same time and stay on track for required dates. Product knowledge capture, curator and dissemination within a cross functional environment. Always promote a safe working environment by following established and required safety policies and practices Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering with emphasis in materials or electromechanical field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical development, electro-mechanical troubleshooting and analysis to apply correct solution for robustness and continuous improvement in customer environments. Strong User of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project), CAD software (SolidWorks), PDM systems and ERP system such as SAP. CRM experience desirable. Strength in electromechanical industrial field. Experience with motion control and position holding devices desirable. Able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical mechanical drawings. Able to carry and lift heavy tools, equipment, and components (up to 35 lbs.). Able to operate instruments, programming devices and hand tools. Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years; Design for Lean Six Sigma or Black Belt preferred.
