Your New Role :

We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Finance Analyst, Auditor or any related experience for the Studios Controllership Home Entertainment accounting team. This role reports to the Executive Director and will provide support for FCRA audit requests, SDS audit requests and 3rd party participation reporting managed by the group. They will also manage the cash reporting process for all of the domestic Home Entertainment business units and assist in special projects as assigned.

Your Role Accountabilities:

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT (85%)

  • Coordinate research and respond to audit requests received from the Corporate participations group including drilling into transactional data to pull sample information.

  • Manage and track status of weekly requests from FCRA.

  • Analyze requests to determine best source for pulling the information.

  • Coordinate with other departments for compiling necessary support.

  • Directly pull supporting information from SAP.

  • Coordinate research and respond to audit requests received from the SDS joint venture.

  • Manage and track status of requests from SDS.

  • Directly pull supporting information from SAP.

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of the monthly, quarterly, and annual Cash Flow reporting related to actuals, forecasts and budget.

  • Liaise with internal Home Entertainment business units and departments to consolidate various inputs.

  • Perform variance analysis on cash results comparing actual Home Entertainment operating performance to forecast.

  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly cash pacing during quarter end.

  • Provide support on the preparation of 3rd party participation reporting.

  • Run reports from SAP to provide to 3rd parties.

  • Ensure reports agree to financials.

  • Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by internal management.

ANALYTICS (15%)

  • Actively participate in stakeholder meetings with the goal of understanding all major projects and initiatives planned.

  • Make recommendations to improve process efficiencies and develop/administer procedures and guidelines.

  • Determines who to coordinate with for audit requests and what entails sufficient audit support.

  • Able to identify key drivers for forecast variance explanations.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (required).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting or related financial area.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles that pertain to scope of work.

  • Utilizes advanced analytical skills and draws keen insights from the data.

  • Manages intermediate-level processes and projects with minimal input from others by taking proactive action to resolve general challenges.

  • Successfully manages multiple deadline-driven projects.

  • Uses thorough logic and methods as well as business knowledge to solve problems.

  • Raises conflicts and concerns to supervisor; makes suggestions to management regarding how to resolve.

  • Seeks to understand the broader business environment and to utilize these insights as appropriate.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, other levels of personnel and outside clients.

  • Embrace and thrive during change.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • CPA preferred.

  • Media and entertainment industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of SAP (including Business Warehouse).
