Do you want to work in one of the fastest growing and most innovative businesses at Amazon? Amazon Devices is looking for a Supply Program Manager for its portfolio of devices and accessories.

This role sits within the EU Devices Marketing & Sales organization and is the subject matter expert for supply planning, inventory allocation, order management and retailer support. Furthermore, this role is responsible to recommend, scope and deliver process improvements, automation and customer experience improvements within the team’s project roadmap, and propose think big ideas that influence the team’s strategic priorities.

We are looking for a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives working amongst a broad, diverse and international set of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have robust project management skills and a track record of delivering quality work. In addition, you can manage ambiguity, have a passion for testing new initiatives and for scaling your learnings to other teams. We prefer to work smart vs. working hard and lean into mechanisms to make processes more efficient.

This is a 12 month FTC

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage our end-to-end planning processes and workflows across the devices network for one of the key categories of Amazon Devices.

  • Manage and own the overall product lifecycle from new product launches to end-of-life.

  • Create and implement inventory allocation strategies to optimize inventory placement, sales, turns, and customer experience.

  • Partner regularly with a broad set of stakeholders including global planning teams, Sales teams, Finance, marketing and more.

  • Own and communicate demand insights and supply allocation plans to key cross-functional internal stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for Devices inventory allocation to offline retailers in a region within EU and UK.

  • Review supply available and sales forecasts with Reseller’s buying team and manage the relationship with retailers.

  • Facilitate data-driven decision making with sales and marketing leaders.

  • Invent and simplify processes to ensure we are constantly improving operations for our internal and external customers.

  • Propose 'think big' ideas that influence the team’s strategic priorities.

About the team

The EMEA Supply team aims to ensure that Amazon devices and accessories arrive to the right location, at the right time and in the right quantities to be available to our end customers. Doing this well allows our internal customers to take the right actions to drive their business goals. The team collaborates closely with customers and stakeholders, advising on business decisions and sharing well-structured insights to help drive informed decision-making, as well as external retailers.

The team is split between supply program managers who own a category of devices, and supply program managers who support all retailers in a specific country or region.

Each supply program manager has day-to-day responsibilities to manager their retailers or categories, while at the same time being responsible for long term projects such as automation, process improvements, and customer experience improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative subject, e.g. Economics, Finance, Maths OR relevant work experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and at least one additional European language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) - fluently.

  • Experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience managing demand and supply initiatives and/or program/process improvements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models and auditing data insights from other team members.

  • Outstanding attention to detail.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to influence and inspire action in others.

  • Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in several European languages (German, French, Italian or Spanish) is strongly preferred.

  • Experience working in an analytical/business planning environment in a fast-paced, data-centric, global organization.

  • SQL, Tableau and VBA skills.

  • Experience working in sales forecasting, supply/demand models, sales operations, Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) or retail planning.
