Role Overview : The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the company's client base. Acting as the initial point of contact, the BDR is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads, nurturing relationships, and generating new business opportunities. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the company's products or services.

Focus Areas:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation :

  • Conduct research in collaboration with the BDM to identify potential clients within target markets or industries.

  • Utilize various channels such as email, cold calling, social media, and networking events to generate new leads.

  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and qualify them as potential opportunities.

  • Qualification and Pipeline Management :

  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and assess their fit for the company's offerings.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and prospect information in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and seamless handoff of qualified leads.

  • Work with the Business Development manager very closely and collaboratively to bring new business opportunities to the vertical.

  • Relationship Building and Engagement:

  • Build rapport with prospects through effective communication and personalized interactions.

  • Educate prospects about the company's products or services and articulate value propositions.

  • Nurture relationships with leads through ongoing follow-ups and engagement activities.

  • Sales Support and Collaboration:

  • Support sales representatives in scheduling meetings, preparing proposals, and facilitating the sales process.

  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and effectiveness of lead generation campaigns.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to optimize processes and enhance the overall sales and business development efforts.

  • Performance Tracking and Reporting :

  • Track key performance metrics such as lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue generated.

  • Prepare regular reports and updates on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and sales performance.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to provide the BDM with the right hard qualitative and quantitative data regarding market analysis and expertise in competitors’ offering.

About you & skills that will help you to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, education, or related field.

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving results.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • If English is not the primary language a B2 level (Global Scale of English) at minimum is needed and will favorably affect relationship building and collaborative capability as this role is part of a Global Sales Organization.
