ITT Corporation Contract Analyst I in Irvine, California

Job Description:


Responsible for managing all of the responsibilities related to Long Term Agreements (LTAs) and Contracts. Perform quantitative analysis of BOM, cost, bookings/billings, etc. by utilizing complex Excel formulas/macros and MS Access. Coordinate with the Product Managers to understand their pricing strategies and provide recommendations. Maintain the pricing configurator files for their specific product lines and update as needed. Perform various back up duties to the Pricing Manager.


· Manages large LTA and Contract quote files as well as internal and external communication around the quotes

· Accountable for meeting deadlines on all LTA and Contract quotes

· Coordinate pricing, delivery, special charges, and all required information for completion of LTA and Contract Request for Quotes (RFQs)

· Review and analyze customer special requirement requests on RFQs for quotation closure using established product line pricing rules

· Review and analyze for accuracy of MRP’s bill of material and router used for standard cost; coordinate with Cost Acctg and/or Operations to correct errors

· Establish estimated cost based on BOM from excel configurator or similar to part build up and Costing Template

· Critique book pricing, market pricing, and/or target pricing based on standard/estimated cost for quote closure within margin authority

· Responsible for Pricing Group shared email management and correspondence with customers and sales representatives

· Assist in training of new personnel in product line pricing techniques, MRP, Costing and Pricing Templates

· Provide guidance to Pricing Analysts and Pricing Specialists as necessary

· Review current quotation process, create templates to be utilized by Pricing Specialist for quotation closure

· Coordinate with Pricing Specialist to recommend changes and optimization strategies to lean our quotation process

· Develop, critique, and implement price curves ensuring regional pricing rationale and minimization of regional pricing arbitrage situations

Skills and Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Computer, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance

· Four years of experience demonstrating problem solving ability in collaboration with functions such as Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Engineering, and/or Operations

· Two years’ experience in product pricing, pricing techniques, costing methods or closely related estimating activity

· Baseline financial review capability

· Excellent competency in Excel (Use of Pivot Tables to clearly state your findings / ability to create Macros is a plus)

· Sound financial review capability

· Familiarity with MRP and / or computer systems or equivalent
