A. Position Summary:

As an integral member of the SAP ABAP team, the Sr SAP Developer will design, develop, enhance and support SAP ABAP applications spanning across multiple SAP platforms with minimal supervision. A key focus will be on supporting SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4 HANA and PTP areas.

B. Key Responsibilities:

· Review functional specifications, collaborate with functional owners and translate functional requirements into detailed technical design specifications.

· Develop enterprise-grade ABAP solutions following SAP best practices which meet the business requirements and are scalable.

· Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, unit testing, debugging, configuration and deployment of ABAP solutions as part of projects and enhancements.

· Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot and fix production support issues.

· Collaborate with technical and functional teams in multiple geographical locations.

· Guide and mentor junior team members.

· Track and manage own and the team’s development items through all the steps of the software development lifecycle.

· Ensure on-time delivery and keep stakeholders informed on status.

· Ensure compliance with the programming standards, policies and documentation guidelines.

· Create and maintain team documentation leading to best practices and standardization.

· Provide on-call support as needed.

· Keep abreast of new or changing SAP technologies and development practices.

C. Requirements:

(These are ‘musts’ for the role)

· 8-10 years of deep SAP ABAP development experience.

· Minimum of two complete life-cycle implementations.

· 1-2 years working in a production support environment.

· Strong RICEFW development experience with a focus in SAP FI/CO and PTP areas (RICEFW - Report, Interface, Conversion, Enhancement, Form & Workflow).

· Extensive experience in RFCs, ALE/IDOCs, User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs, File Interfaces, VOFMs, Enhancement Framework, WebDynpro and Web Services.

· Expertise in ABAP code optimization, program performance analysis, performance tuning and debugging techniques.

· Expertise in Designing & modeling OData services using the Gateway Service Builder.

· Experience in performing code reviews, identifying deviations from best practices and coding standards.

· Strong knowledge in Object Oriented ABAP, ABAP CDS and Fiori/UI5.

· Strong knowledge in SAP PS, MM and SD modules.

· Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.

· Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

· Strong problem-solving skills to include problem identification and impact, proper communication of the problem to peers and management, and the development and implementation of a resolution.

· Service oriented, professional, and reliable.

· Advanced English communication skills.

D. Preferred:

(These are ‘nice to have’ for the role)

· Experience or knowledge in ABAP CDS, Fiori/UI5 and S/4 HANA is a huge plus

· SAP certification
