Job Summary:

Maintenance Supervisor is the principal assistant to the Project Manager on all matters pertaining to the maintenance mission. Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the workers who maintain and repair military equipment to include combat systems, rolling stock, generation equipment, and various other components. They may be responsible for evaluating problematic systems and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.

Maintenance Supervisors organize schedules and assigns work activity. They may perform training to ensure individuals have all the requisite skills. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing maintenance procedures and maintaining personnel skills records. Supervisors evaluate each worker's performance to ensure quality operations. They also investigate accidents and prepare relevant reports.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of materiel maintenance processes regarding testing, inspecting, repairing, servicing, maintaining, transporting, and processing/de‐processing commercial or tactical equipment in accordance with maintenance requests, military regulations and instructions, and government technical publications, or OEM equivalent publications when a government technical publication is not available. Must be versed in maintenance performance standards and metrics outlined in Army regulations.

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of documented supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in U.S. Army material maintenance.

  • GCSS-A Certifications

  • Skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.

  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • Ability to obtain a NAC-I and a CAC

  • Valid Driver License

  • High School Diploma

Desired Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of shop level experience as a technician and understanding of quality systems.

  • 10+ years of Army maintenance experience

  • 91 series U.S. Army Military Occupational Specialty Maintenance Experience
