Within our Group Benefits Small Business Sales organization, the Regional Sales Manager will have direct accountability leading a region within our Sales team.

Region Sales/Territory Management:

  • Build strong, strategic partnerships with key producers

  • Develop and implement sales goals for each territory

  • Gain insights into regional market dynamics and emerging trends to support product, capabilities and strategic prioritization

  • Leverage metrics, data and analytics to drive decisions and results in each territory

  • Participate in monthly leadership calls with all Regional Sales Directors in assigned Region

People Leadership and Development:

  • Ensures staff continuity for key positions by anticipating and planning for future staffing needs and attracting, selecting, and developing strong talent.

  • Effectively manages staff through active coaching and mentorship

  • Builds a strong team which fosters collaboration and open dialogue and involves staff in critical decision-making and planning activities.

  • Supports and collaborates with peer Regional Sales Managers on team initiatives

  • Drives The Hartford Way mindsets and behaviors across their direct team and is a model of The Hartford Behaviors

Relationship and Team Building:

  • Builds strong working relationships with all internal GB Core Sales, Underwriting, Operations) and external (customer, agent, producer) business associates

  • Leverages relationships to uncover new business and renewal retention opportunities and develops long-term strategic business partnerships

  • Promote an inclusive culture that allows for diversity of experience, thought and backgrounds

  • Build on the foundation in place with local sales offices to align Blueprint plans and drive a One Hartford approach for our producers

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of Sales experience within the Group Benefits industry

  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities including a process improvement mindset

  • Strong financial, business, and sales acumen

  • Strong relationship management with proven ability to build strong internal and external partnerships

    T his position will operate on a hybrid model with the opportunity to work in office Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and remotely Monday & Friday. This enables you to have the flexibility you need while ensuring you are working with your peers and leaders in the office as you develop your skills, collaborate, build relationships and grow your career with The Hartford

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$100,320 - $150,480
