ITT Corporation Procurement Coordinator in Houston, Texas
Are you someone that thrives on the versatility of a "small company environment" and has experience helping support procurement processes and administration?
This role will be responsible for all elements of order processing and handling for Bornemann North America. This includes the full cycle of a project from order placement and entry to cost savings initiatives, supplier performance, and on time execution.
Responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies.
Solicit bids, analyze quotes, and conducts cost/price analysis.
Negotiates prices and selects or recommends suppliers.
Manages and executes day to day activities in relation to communication specifications, quantity, quality, and delivery commitments.
Monitors supplier performance ensuring compliance to all regulations, goals, and objectives.
Maintains knowledge of the supplier as well as government regulations and established purchasing practices.
Work with suppliers to expedite deliveries and ensure due dates are met.
Actively managing purchase orders throughout lifecycle including resolving quality discrepancies, negotiating cost reductions, settling damage claims, rejections, returns, etc.
Communicate effective with the shop and project tea to meet all customer requirements.
Actively identify any routing issues or long lead items.
Enter sales orders into accounting tool and issue POs against those orders.
Monitor and initiate Finance to invoice customers at milestones.
Provide parts quotes to customers on demand.
Provide administrative support to the team as necessary.
Maintain as built cost estimate sheets per project.
Create and maintain the Project Summary Form (PSF) log.
Liaise with Finance as necessary

Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar, or a combination of education and relevant experience in material management or project management.
The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement in a manufacturing or production environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and complete projects and complex tasks
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Ability to effectively communicate with customer and at all levels of an organization
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP experience
