ITW Machine Shop Administrator in High Wycombe, United Kingdom

Job purpose

Responsible for the administration of Machine shop activities as described in the key tasks and responsibilities. The Administrator will be responsible for supporting demand planning, conducting production analysis, and managing various administrative tasks for the Machine shop.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Manage, plan & co-ordinate daily administrative operations of the machine shop including compliance, policies and procedures, expense reports, etc.

  2. Develop and review production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.

  3. Ensure Maintenance log administration is completed to the required schedule. Manage Maintenance and repair engineer scheduling and administration following company procedures.

  4. Administration of Health and Safety including our SafetyHub online training platform. Abide by all company Safety procedures, Rules, and Risk assessments.

  5. Purchasing and administration of Tooling, stationery & PPE as required

  6. Administration of Material certs and Tooling invoices

  7. Administration of daily and weekly machine checklists

  8. Expedite orders and maintain good working relations with suppliers performing operations on our behalf.

  9. Administration of Payroll for the machine shop. Ensure Payroll is collated and provided monthly to the required schedule.

  10. Ensure any accidents and incidents are reported to the management in a timely manner.

  11. Ensure all product and administration duties are met, in line with our ISO Quality Standard.

  12. Maintain Excel spreadsheets or alternative documents relating to Machine Shop Activities.

  13. Generate reports on Key performance indicators KPI results (Metrics)

  14. Highlight training needs as deemed necessary to fulfil job role.

  15. Recommend process changes to ensure continuous improvement.

  16. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, using ITW toolbox methodologies.

  17. To be supportive and participative in all activities initiated by our manufacturing management team.

  18. Other clerical duties assigned as needed.

Office 365 proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Power BI (not essential)

Key Experiences

Previous administration experience ideally within a manufacturing/Production environment.

Working conditions

  • The working conditions are typically Office, Machine shop and assembly environments. Travel is not required in the role but may happen on occasions to receive training.
