Role: Senior Software Developer Engineer

The Team: The MI Sustainability team is responsible for generating content feeds and application interfaces for the Climate Datasets. Currently we have 2 agile teams working on Feed development and are looking to add 2 additional teams to help scale out for the strong demand we are seeing from the business.

The Impact: We are working to scale out the development team to deliver new value to customers faster. Type of projects include Application development using cloud services, backend database development, application integration, ETL development, new delivery platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design, Document and Develop solutions to support key business needs.

• Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages and tools.

• Produce system design documents and contribute to technical walkthroughs.

• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Support and maintain production environments

• Plan/manage tasks as per the release cycles.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's/PG degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of strong experience in application development using Java technologies and Frameworks.

• Experience in managing a small team and interfacing with product owners.

• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Test-driven development.

• Knowledge in Core Java, Python, pySpark, Multithreading, Microservices, Developing REST APIs

• Azure DevOps or any CI/CD tools, Git

• Strong command of SQLand used SQL Server, Oracle

• At least a Year of experience incloud technologies and managed services preferably AWS or GCP, Big Data and Analytics, nifi, Airflow, Spark, and Hive

• Good to have - knowledge of Redshift, EMR
