Weld County Government Child Welfare Administrative Specialist in Greeley, Colorado

The Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS) is hiring a Child Welfare Administrative Specialist position. As a Child Welfare Administrative Specialist, you will serve as a supportive and engaged member of the Child Welfare team providing a broad range of technical and administrative support for Weld County leadership and staff. This integral role will support many functions including but not limited to: - Supporting various Child Welfare case management, compliance, and training activities through data entry, tracking of data, research, preparing materials, and follow-up. - Assisting with case audits. - Working within multiple database systems to obtain, track and disseminate necessary data in compliance with Division, Department, State, and Federal requirements. -Takes initiative -Strong self-starter that is deadline driven

Provides a broad range of technical and administrative support for the Weld County Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division leadership and staff, with a commitment to customer, Division, and Department success. Serves as a supportive, engaged member of the Child Welfare team, assisting with various tracking, reporting, documentation, dissemination, and follow up related to division, Department, State, and Federa

$24.79 - $31.40 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting). The position will normally start at $24.79 per hour.

This position is not exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

This range encompasses the nine pay steps available should you receive the position and demonstrate satisfactory performance over time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following job duties are established to outline the basic duties and responsibilities of the above captioned position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Administration (50%): Accurately completes various required forms across several systems; regularly accesses multiple database systems, including the state database, Binti, Colorado State Courts - Data Access program, and Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Secure Document Delivery System (SDDS). - Accesses and disseminates fingerprint results from secure SDDS system and ensures compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) policy protecting criminal justice information. - Utilizes appropriate systems to assist in tracking compliance in various areas. - Completes placement information forms: service referral forms, c ildcare forms for kinship and foster care providers, and Adam Walsh Checks. - Extends target dates in family services plans. - Scans documents into OnBase. - Enters records of contacts into the state database. - Updates health passports. - Updates the state data base with current addresses and phone numbers and other necessary information. - Assists with follow-up phone calls and emails to ICPC liaison regarding monthly contacts and 90-day reports. - Assists with travel requests to support caseworkers and families. This may include researching flights, hotels, and providing recommendations to finalize travel arrangements.

Collaboration (45%): Assists with developing and maintaining various data tracking spreadsheets to ensure ongoing and accurate data collection and provides data to caseworker to assist in meeting deadlines. - Creates easy to understand and visually engaging reports as needed and requested. Assists with preparation for internal case audits of Child Welfare cases. - Supports various child welfare activities through preparation. This includes but is not limited preparing staff for in-house foster care, case, and assessment reviews, and preparing review outcome reports.
