Global Product Specialist Oil & Gas Mid- and Downstream is responsible for recognizing sales opportunities, proper reply of incoming customer requests, and driving the resulting sales process to success. The main focus is on delivering high quality quotations according to the customers’ requirements and within in the provided deadlines.

You will be supported and work close with the Team Leader, System Engineering, Design Department, Order Handling Department, Marketing Department, and Commercial Excellence to achieve your goals.

Main Task

Provide daily, tactical support to Engineers & Customers by delivering technical information and proposals for the assigned product(s)

Collaborate to generate and assemble technical and commercial offers in response to customer requests for quotation within deadlines

Track active quotations to determine necessary follow up to improve opportunity funnel health and the ultimate proposal hit rate

Actively drive Sales & Marketing acc. to lP 500

Where necessary, secure technically and commercially compliant quotations from sub vendors for equipment

Receive and enter clean orders on factory, own the clean order process and be responsible to hand over jobs to order processing / order entry

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitive offerings from both a commercial and technical standpoint and collaborate with Team Leader to define the key value propositions of the assigned product(s)

Deliver tactical feedback to corresponding Team Leader to shape growth playbook for the assigned product(s) and to strengthen positioning against competition to enable sustainable, globalgrowth in new markets and applications

Product Line Promotion

Develop customer communication strategy with input from Team Leader and Global Product Manager

Develop Business to stimulate greater technology adoption for assigned product(s)

Execute strategy in a concerted and sustainable manner directly or with local Sales and provide ongoing feedback to Product Team to refine Customer and/or Market intelligence

Regularly engage in Customer presentations to promote the value and adoption for assigned product(s), either virtually or in face-to-face visits, to support the overall product communication strategy

Collaborative Support

Assist Order Handling and/or Project Management in the interpretation, clarification, and execution of Customer orders

Support Product Engineering and/or Systems Engineering in the interpretations of Customer specifications to fully meet the Customer's requirements for the application of the product

Provide direct mentoring of Sales & Customers to develop stronger and broader support for the assigned product(s)

Experience & Education

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering

2 years e xperience in application engineering, sales and project management

Strong knowledge of positive displacement pump technology

lnterpretation and Analysis of Customer's industry processes particularly in Oil & Gas

Strong PC Skills, Windows, MS Office and ePrism/proAlpha

Fluent in English, other language is a plus

Rotating equipment design and manufacturing experience is a plus
