Make your mark as regional HR Business Partner (f/m/x)

This position will be responsible for leading and executing the organization’s people strategy and practices. You will partner with the EMEA Product Leads, acting as a trusted advisor on organizational structure and effectiveness; manage succession planning with defined population and key positions within EMEA Product Leads, support diversity & inclusion initiatives, and helping AIG attract, motivate, and retain key talent. Working collaboratively towards a best-in-class HR function and help AIG become the Insurance Employer of Choice with a high performing, learning and inclusive culture for all talent.

How you will create an impact

  • Act as a respected partner to EMEA product leads in the development and implementation of our people strategy and co-ordinate resourcing priorization between product lines and General Managers.

  • Lead regional HR projects and talent initiatives, talent reviews and succession processes by working with senior management to implement more skills-driven talent practices, enabling additional targeted learning, clearer career pathways, and improved workforce planning, and aligning to a pay for performance culture.

  • Advise partners in EMEA product functions on their learning needs, using existing HR L&D content and/or recommending additional material as required.

  • Work closely with EMEA HR Cluster leads on all employee related matters and ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices in relevant jurisdictions.

  • Acts as liaison with the various HR Functions, HR Shared Services and HR Business Partners in the execution of regional policies, programs, processes, and projects

  • Sustain a committed and inclusive culture by continuing to embed AIG’s Purpose and Values across all HR-related processes

What you’ll need to succeed

  • University degree / postgraduate degree, professional qualification in human resources

  • Proven track record in working in an international environment as a trusted HR Professional

  • Extensive experience in consulting an international organization on a regional level in Learning and Development and organizational design

  • Strong people management and networking skills

  • Business acumen

  • External focus (markets, customers, competitors, new technologies, new opportunities)

  • Flexibility - in dealing with ambiguity, new technologies and changing priorities

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and have the emotional intelligence to adjust when and how to communicate in English as well as another European language
