Location: Our office is located at 931 Conklin Street Ste C and D Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Schedule: This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday- Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work our 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of (9:00am – 6:00pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and Holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacist with sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800

  • Maintain competency related to performing sterile compounding

  • Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance

  • Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding

  • Participate in completing and documenting all cleaning and monitoring activities identified for areas related to sterile compounding including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning requirements

  • Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly

  • Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

  • Assist in training of new and current staff in all current and new procedures as they are implemented, as well as proper practices such as aseptic technique, proper garbing and gowning, and all guidelines according to USP 797

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of pharmacy experience

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (8-hour shifts between 8am-6pm weekdays with occasional Saturday coverage; ability to be available on-call for occasional Sundays and holidays as needed)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Certified Compounded Sterile Preparations Technician (CSPT) certification

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification 

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently to solve high stakes problems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks

  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
