A Quality Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Fairport, NY area. This role involves administering plant change management processes, performing inspection and data entry tasks, driving process improvements, and supporting quality systems, with a emphasis on Excel proficiency, manufacturing experience, and a stable job history.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Drive improvements to change management processes, including transitioning to Windchill system.

• Provide administrative and hands-on support in managing discrepant material flow.

• Evaluate and sort quarantined components.

• Provide project leadership/support in improving plant quality systems.

• Intake and process product returns.

• Perform process and ISO 9001 internal audits.

Skills:

• Perform inspection and data entry in process management system.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with Windchill preferred, experience in optics preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum 1 year of QA experience, Quality Tech experience, or inspection in a manufacturing environment.
