We are currently seeking a Field Scientist to join the Research and Development Team She/he will handle high pressure environment that requires strong interpersonal skills, quick decision making and conflict resolution.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design of research proposals (including protocols) within the biology planning process and ensures that local needs are appropriately communicated and incorporated.

  • Executes high quality field and / or glasshouse research in a scientifically credible manner and provides timely collection and input of data. Produces timely professional reports of results and conclusions.

  • Represents Corteva at relevant academic and government institutes and documents emerging trends and issues related to the crop production / pest shifts / outbreaks.

  • Prepares and reports oral and / or written interim reports as requested.

  • Fully accountable for data management (including statistics) associated with the establishment of field and / or glasshouse trials through completion and archival of relevant reports.

  • May contribute within the Biology Team to the creation of the biology workplan.

  • Assists with the design and execution of Managing Existing Business (MEB) projects as prioritized by the teams.

  • Responsible for implementing, evaluating, reporting and archiving external cooperator, university or COI cooperator research according to the requirements provided in the protocol and the POW.

  • Informs the team of useful, novel and unexpected biology results that could be submitted for an IDM

Qualifications

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • MSc or PhD (desirable)

  • A minimum of 2-year experience

  • Experience in implementing and managing multiple discipline biological trials in local geography. Competent in implementing high quality field and / or glasshouse research trials (desirable)

  • Computer proficiency (e.g. data management)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Teamwork and networking skills

  • Advanced english

  • Place of residence: Córdoba

  • Driver license and being able to travel
