Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Driver Heavy Vehicles 2 to join our Aerospace Systems at the CLEARFIELD, UT facility.

This position will operate vehicles over 10,001 lbs. capacity to transport tooling, material, hardware and misc. items on-site, between Local sites as well as off plant vendors. Operate vehicle up to 26,001 lbs. capacity to transport tooling, hardware, components, material, and hazardous materials between work centers.

This position will be for our weekday nigh shift Mon-Thurs

Position Summary:

  • This position is for the Clearfield Utah site operating out of the Freeport Center.

  • Supports numerous programs within the Transportation Department.

  • Accountable for the safe operation of all vehicles and equipment utilized to transport company and government owned assets.

  • Organize loads for maximized operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma plus 2 or more years driving experience.

  • Active and current DOD Clearance

  • Must possess a current Class A CDL.

  • Must posses a current DOT Medical Card

  • Must have the ability to obtain applicable endorsements such as HAZMAT.

  • Shall provide a current MVR with zero moving violations in the past year.

  • Must meet all DOT pre-employment requirements.

  • Proven ability to work with and as part of a team.

  • Strong ability to provide effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eight-years commercial driving experience utilizing vehicles up to but not limited to a GVWR of 26,001 or its equivalent in on-the-job training either as a medium equipment or forklift operator.

  • Knowledgeable and familiar with FMCSR and 49CFR regulations governing commercial motor vehicle operations.

  • Must possess the ability to read in-plant manuals such as handling instructions including special tie-down arrangements utilizing general and special safety equipment.

  • Proficient ability to understand and follow DOT permitting instructions and requirements.

  • Proficient with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, Power Point, Outlook.

  • Proficient with mobile devices such as but not limited to an iPad.

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
