About the Role

Leads the analyzing and developing of logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility.

What You Will Do

  • Accountable for the IRA Inventory record accuracy and to supply on time the materials to the point of use including Kanban, kitting process and other. Plays key role in contract negotiations and interfacing with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.

  • Leading Distribution supervisors and forklifters in the day-by-day activities.

  • Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.

  • Improving logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.

  • Owns the development and maintenance cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Tracking costs and savings for all warehousing and transportation modes.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Transportation - MFG: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma Project Management principles

•High SAP experience in IM and WM modules it is required

•Solid factory logistics knowledge

•Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience

•APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

•College or university degree related to Engineering, Supply Chain

•Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics

•Extensive material distribution experience

•Knowledge of material handling equipment

•Working understanding of the various materials systems and how they interrelate

•Capable of working and communicating within all levels in the organization.

DESIRABLE:

  • Conversational English
