The Role

We're looking for a planning analyst to join our Technology team in the EMEA Support Centre. This a unique role that will support the Technology function through coordination of technology investment planning & portfolio governance.

An effective analyst will partner with senior analysts, technical resources, and business partners in the delivery of meaningful technology solutions, processes and services in the technology portfolio and roadmap.

What you'll do:

  • Support the technology annual planning cycle, ensuring alignment between core business teams and technology to drive priority for the EMEA Technology team

  • Support the governance of project lifecycle to help ensure repeatable and consistent delivery of technology projects. This in turn will allow projects to successfully meet the triple constraints matrix of time, cost and quality. Activities to include but no limited to status reporting, project tracking, intake process management

  • Advocacy and enforcement of project cost management processes to help ensure IT Projects are delivered to budget. Working with all relevant teams to manage technology budgets, working closely with Senior Planning Analyst & Finance

  • Leverage Data and Analytics tools to track against plan and communicate status & KPIs such as PowerBI

  • Create communication materials and provide oversight of core documentation storage and governance including but not limited to key project documentation such as Project plans, internal and external communication

  • Co-ordinate the intake of technology capability requirements/requests for EMEA Technology team ensuring processes are followed and stakeholders are kept up-to-date

  • Co-ordinate the end-to-end process for documenting, communicating, tracking, and reporting on progress to plan, establishing regular and effective cadence for project escalations

  • Preparation and execution of management reporting to ensure senior management has appropriate and timely management information regarding EMEA Technology team projects, spend, forecast & recoveryAct as a key point of contact for the technology team, business units and licensees who request information related to the technology plans and budgets

  • Manage the collection and analysis of technology investment information from the business and licensees to support the total cost of ownership process

  • Act as an advocate for technology planning & governance processes, developing and continuously improving ways of working. Continue to update and improve related processes & methodologies

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience within the IT Programme or Portfolio Office of a large multinational organisation

  • Confident self-starter with ability to work autonomously

  • Logical, analytical and with the ability to solve complex issues using original and inventive thinking

  • Results driven and goal orientated with ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • In depth knowledge and experience in the following activities; project scheduling, budget tracking, project communications, risk and issue management and escalations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation

  • In depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
