We are in search of a M anual Machinist for one of our premier ProServices Repair shops in Bedford Park, IL.
In this position you will setup and operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, to machine precision components per specifications. Apply appropriate machining processes to manufacture parts specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts. Must be disciplined in following all procedures as outlined by the job routing, Quality System & ESH procedures. The ability to repair defects in castings (welding) and minor fabrication helpful. Measures components, parts, with precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools. Must be proficient with the following measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, depth gages, dial indicators, and templates.
-Capable of effectively operating all machines in the facility.
-Understand complicated drawings and specifications, shop arithmetic and use of micrometers, calipers, geometric tolerances, precision principles and methods
-Must be disciplined in following all procedures as outlined by job routings and quality system
-Applies mastery of skills.
-Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, and materials to meet special needs.

Experience : Minimum 4 years

-Use micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments.
