Digital Industry Software (DI SW) is a successful, fast-moving organization, going through transformation in its business to provide Cloud-enabled products through a Software as a Service (SaaS) financial model. DI SW has evolved organically as well as through a series of acquisitions and is looking to transform and scale for its next phase of strategic growth.

As part of this evolution, the People & Organization (P&O) team is looking to evaluate how best to support HR systems efficiency and effectiveness for the future. Headquartered in the US, DI SW operates in 50 countries. The company implemented Workday as its core global HR system of record in 2020 and continues to build out core functionality. In addition, Avature is deployed as the company’s Applicant Tracking System. Operating in a complex environment, encompassing interactions with parent company systems, as well as an ongoing roster of mergers and acquisitions, and other organizational changes to integrate and support, DI SW is looking to accelerate its systems enablement of both core functionality and additional processes to relieve the burden on P&O staff.

We are looking for someone who is technically savvy and strategically minded, to drive an assessment of opportunities to advance a comprehensive systems-enablement plan over time, within the provided operating constraints and parameters.

Reporting to the SVP P&O, the role will provide leadership for a talented team, who possess excellent understanding of the current functional environment within their domains. The role will also drive collaboration with supporting and adjacent organizations, including DI SW IT and other Siemens groups where there may be fruitful partnering opportunities. We are also interested to explore the potential for AI and other new technologies to facilitate accelerations in delivered functionality and self-enablement.

The location can be flexible. Some travel required.

YOUR SUCCESS CRITERIA :

  • Technically savvy with proven ability to learn new systems quickly and to provide technical leadership and guidance to others

  • A self-initiator, who can drive a strategic agenda and roll up sleeves to get the job done as needed

  • Can extract business requirements and understand technical architectures

  • Ability to dig in and propose real world solutions that will support achievement of strategic goals

  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment

  • Establishes successful relationships and influence based on personal credibility

  • Experience in software, preferably industrial software

  • Experience leading, motivating and coaching a team

  • Experience working in a large complex organizational culture

  • Experience with broad span of responsibilities; ability to scale

  • identify and develop talent; and to nurture and represent team accomplishments

  • Ability to think big in terms of strategic importance but also to prioritize, mobilize and get things done

  • HR functional expertise and experience required including topics relating to data privacy, security, compliance and reporting

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience working with Workday is strongly preferred or proven ability to learn new systems quickly

YOUR INVOLVEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to name just a few):

  • Oversee the HR technology transformation strategy, roadmap and architecture

  • Build relationships of trust with the P&O Systems team, P&O leadership, IT and other key stakeholders within DI SW and broader Siemens

  • Understand the DI SW and P&O transformation journeys and identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency through your people and technical leadership

  • Manage a process for identifying and prioritizing business needs requiring or benefiting from technical solutions

  • Analyze alternative pathways to address business needs – build, buy, outsource

  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis to demonstrate the business case for change

  • Collaborate with IT on support for downstream interfaces and integrations into other systems

  • Communicate the resulting roadmap of initiatives

  • Provide technical leadership and support to the P&O Systems team

  • Lead definition of change management approach for more significant projects

  • Serve as a key member of the P&O leadership team, influencing, guiding, challenging and collaborating

  • Stay up-to-date with trends and opportunities

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $162,600 to $292,700 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
