Position: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Experience:8+ years

Location: Pune/ Chennai

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions , ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

  2. Serve as the primary technical advisor and subject matter expert for ServiceNow platform architecture, providing guidance on system design, integration strategies, and solution scalability.

  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze complex workflows, and architect innovative solutions using ServiceNow platform capabilities.

  4. Design and implement ServiceNow modules, applications, and integrations, leveraging scripting languages, APIs, and web services.

  5. Develop ServiceNow portals and service catalogs , enhancing user experience and driving self-service adoption.

  6. Configure and integrate virtual agents and chatbots to automate workflows and enhance service delivery.

  7. Ensure performance , stability, and reliability of ServiceNow instances, conducting performance tuning and optimization as needed.

  8. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams , guiding junior developers in coding best practices, architectural principles, and platform optimization techniques.

  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical standards, governance policies, and development methodologies for ServiceNow projects.

  10. Stay abreast of emerging ServiceNow technologies , trends, and best practices, recommending architectural enhancements and process improvements to maximize platform value.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong background in technical architecture and solution design.

  3. Extensive expertise in ITSM development, service portal development, chatbot, and virtual agent development on the ServiceNow platform.

  4. Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, and Jelly, with hands-on experience in customizing ServiceNow applications and workflows.

  5. Demonstrated experience in integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems and applications using APIs, web services, and RESTful interfaces.

  6. Deep understanding of ServiceNow performance tuning, stability optimization, and scalability best practices.

  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues, propose innovative solutions, and drive resolution.

  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and lead technical discussions.

  9. ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or Certified System Administrator (CSA) are preferred.

  10. Proven experience in technical leadership and mentorship, with a track record of successfully leading ServiceNow development teams and delivering high-quality solutions.
