Position Overview

Autodesk has recently closed the acquisition of FlexSim, a provider of simulation technology that enables factory and logistics operators to increase their processes. Through discrete event simulation, FlexSim's technology brings the design of a factory or logistics center to life. It puts production flow analysis at the fingertips of operations engineers and managers to surface fundamental business insights that help achieve time and cost goals. We are now looking for a FlexSim Product Specialist who manages a pipeline of direct sales in the USA and separately supporting the Autodesk Named Accounts team with enterprise business expansion.

As a FlexSim Product Specialist, you will lead customers through their buying process and demonstrate how FlexSim can address the challenges you have discovered in the customers' manufacturing, and production processes. You will be excited to take on the challenge of growing a newly acquired business within our Named Accounts, and able to demonstrate determination and creativity. This is a great opportunity to develop your solution sales career in a high impact, high visibility role.

This job is assigned a non-commission-based role. You will be working as an individual contributor. You will report to the former Chief Operating Officer of FlexSim.

It is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an opportunity pipeline generated from an inbound lead flow and convert opportunities to closed-won deals

  • Negotiate deals and contracts at multiple levels within the account, with a focus on enterprise level negotiations

  • Coordinate the efforts of an extended team including the Technical Consultants, and others, helping you focus on the actions which will create the largest impact

  • Develop important relationships within your accounts including important partner and translate customer challenges and opportunities into unique value

  • Prospect into your accounts and their subsidiaries to identify new opportunities

  • Support the Autodesk named accounts team with enterprise account opportunities with FlexSim

  • Deliver an accurate ongoing forecast of business

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (preference for Engineering, IT, Business)

  • 5+ years sales or technical sales experience with a complex software technology

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferably focused on digital factory

  • Experience with enterprise sales and applying sales methodologies (TAS, MEDDIC)

  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or Hubspot

  • Excel in developing deep customer relationships and managing assigned accounts to result in continued revenue generation and high levels of customer satisfaction

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,800 and $197,120. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
