Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of PTEC Instructor. The PTEC Instructor is located in the Academic and Student Affairs. This is a full-time position.

COMPENSATION:

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications for this position include an AAS in Process Technology or recent verifiable evidence of at least 5 recent years in Process Operations. Preference will be given to candidates who also have a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Knowledge of computer fundamentals and previous teaching experience in an adult environment and oil and gas production would be a definite asset. Strong oral communication, presentation, and classroom management skills combined with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships are essential.

Job Concepts

The faculty member's responsibilities and duties are teaching courses as assigned, student advising, college service, professional development and promotion of a collegial atmosphere. Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Faculty report directly to the department chair within their respective departments and divisions.

In addition, as part of the team providing instruction to the students enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College, your primary assignment will be to plan, develop and deliver instruction for a broad range of courses in the area of Process Technology.
