As a Project Automation Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for industrial processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and develop innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and productivity.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our projects by learning and implementing automation technologies and driving cutting-edge solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement standard engineering solutions for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) (i.e., graphics, database, reports, executed test scripts, and other short duration work packaged deliverables).

  • Provide automation control and instrumentation services for the oil and gas; refining and energy industries.

  • Work under supervision of Senior project engineers to successfully meet the project targets (delivery, quality and costs).

  • Complete assigned tasks within budgeted time and cost constraints.

  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

  • Take inventory and stage hardware for customer demonstrations.

  • Edit Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Detail Design Specifications (DDS), and System Design Manuals (SDM).

  • Report project status updates to Project Manager and Lead Engineer

  • Learn the end-to-end product/solution development and delivery/execution of Honeywell products and solutions

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

  • Up to 25% domestic travel required

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
