Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry is located in the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This is a part-time position, and is open for recruitment.

COMPENSATION:

Salary: $833.33 per credit course taught

Estimated Hours per Week: 3 hours

Dates/Times - Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in chemistry; master's degree in biochemistry or chemical engineering or chemical physics or geochemistry and 9 graduate semester hours in chemistry; or master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry and applied chemistry and chemistry related coursework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in chemistry

Part-time faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned and promotion of a collegial atmosphere. Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Faculty report directly to the department chair within their respective departments and divisions.

Examples of Work

The Department of Sciences seeks adjunct instructors to teach Chemistry courses. Adjunct

instructors are hired by the department, the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Baton Rouge Community College on a term-by-term basis as needed.
