ICF Intake/Transition Manager | Remote in Austin, Texas

Description

ICF is seeking an Intake/Transition Manager to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for Unaccompanied Children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. The Intake/Transition Manager oversees multiple teams involved in the post release legal services infrastructure responsible for processes related to intake and tracking through disposition for post-release legal services to support unaccompanied children. This includes the Intake/Transition Supervisors, and Legal/Intake and Transition Coordinators. This position reports to the Administrative Director. Remote work location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intake/Transition Manager responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring processes are in place for teams to utilize the case management system to enter intake information and any subsequent information related to legal service.

  • Ensuring processes are in place for the team of Legal/Intake and Transition Coordinators providing timely intake sessions and transmission of intake packets to the direct services legal team.

  • Ensuring processes are in place for follow-up on cases transitioned to the pro bono legal team. This follow-up consists of quarterly contacts (and associated data entry), through case disposition.

  • Establish good working relationships with assigned PRS providers and any other related ORR contract providers who may serve as a referral source for post-release legal services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in direct services provision with children and/or families or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in direct services provision with children and/or families.

  • 1 year of experience with unaccompanied minors and refugee programs.

  • 3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Experience with complex family relationships and dynamics and demonstrated ability to review case files and assess/document information from a variety of sources.

  • Experience with MS Office suite and open to learning any IT systems developed specifically for use with this project in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills:

  • Tier 2 security clearance.

  • Knowledge of migrant/refugee issues, particularly related to unaccompanied children and sponsor families and the processes/documentation required for legal determinations.

  • Education and/or experience in the application of race equity, diversity, and inclusion of social justice strategies in human service settings.

  • Working knowledge of the refugee, immigrant, and asylee challenges.

  • Experience working for a refugee program.

  • Experience working with the legal community.

  • Prior work experience in a consulting environment.

  • Proficient with MS office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$84,533.00 - $143,706.00
