About the Role:

As Sr Program Specialist – Program Management of AI & Data Governance of the Honeywell Connected Enterprise (HCE) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data governance within our organization. You will lead data governance projects and initiatives, gaining a deep understanding of Honeywell's products and development processes to ensure data management, privacy, and security standards are upheld. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams, you will provide expert advice and guidance on developing data products while helping to establish and maintain a robust data governance framework. This framework will encompass a comprehensive set of policies, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions tailored specifically for our Digital Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead data governance projects and initiatives, to implement compliance with industry regulations and emerging laws such as the EU Data Act and EU AI Act.

• Drive program in collaboration with various teams such as legal, data governance, AI, software engineering and product to address data management, privacy, and security concerns by gaining deep insights into Honeywell’s development processes and its products.

• Partner with Data and AI compliance lead attorney and Data Governance team for program and project management related tasks.

• Expedite overall compliance deliverables by providing expert process guidance to product, design, and engineering teams in the development of data and AI products.

• Help develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework for Digital Services, encompassing policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Manage visibility and compliance of the data acquisition, usage, and rights program for Digital Services by streamlining various practices.

• Implement programs, processes, and procedures to improve Honeywell's ability to incorporate data and AI into its solutions.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of strong program management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and support projects in an enterprise across multiple functional domains. Carry out effective stakeholder communication and facilitate collaboration across the program.

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in projects involving data governance, regulatory compliance associated with data and AI such as EU Data Act, GDPR, EU AI Act

• 2+ years of working experience in AI/Big Data & IoT, & Cloud with an understanding of emerging technologies and their implications for data governance practices.

• Bachelor or higher degree(s) in information technology, cybersecurity, data management, or law 

• Sound understanding of data governance principles, encompassing data literacy, data lifecycle management, data quality assurance, and data security best practices, reflecting a dedication to maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. 

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating clear and concise communication of complex data governance concepts and requirements to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data management, privacy, and security challenges and develop effective solutions.

• Working knowledge of industry regulations and emerging laws, such as the EU Data Act and EU AI Act, and experience ensuring compliance within a data governance framework. 

• Experience managing projects around data acquisition, use, and rights programs, including driving initiatives to enhance data source integration and optimize data utilization across the organization. 

• Familiarity with B2B industry regulations and compliance requirements governing data governance, illustrating a commitment to upholding legal and regulatory standards in data management practices. 

• Expertise in assessing risks associated with IT changes and data governance, coupled with the capability to develop, and implement risk mitigation strategies, underscoring a proactive approach to managing potential risks. 

• Adeptness in documenting procedures, policies, and changes comprehensively, evidencing meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation. 

• Strong business acumen enabling the development of a robust data governance model that balances data security and accessibility requirements, aligning with organizational objectives and priorities. 

• Understanding of anonymization, de-identification, and other data minimization techniques, highlighting a commitment to safeguarding individual privacy and ensuring ethical data practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational values.
