Amazon Internal Communications Manager, Global Real Estate and Facilities, Corporate Communications in Arlington, Virginia

Amazon’s Internal Corporate Communications (ICC) team is seeking a full-time experienced, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to manage Amazon's corporate employee-facing communications for the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization.

As an Internal Communications Manager, you will build and implement a communication and content strategy for Amazon corporate employees in partnership with GREF. Your work will educate employees on Amazon’s best-in-class workplace experience and demonstrate how GREF supports and inspires a culture of innovation for our corporate employees and external visitors. Additionally, you will build a broad, global communications plan, working in partnership with GREF operational communications leads, to highlight the benefits and uniqueness of Amazon’s workspaces to corporate employees worldwide.

Specifically, you will be responsible for creating and delivering internal communications stories and engagement campaigns worldwide and advise GREF’s operational communications and leadership team on employee-facing internal communications strategies and best practices. The role would suit a tenacious, detail-orientated leader with a passion for storytelling, comfort to lead through ambiguity, and agility to navigate a large-scale, complex business.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop subject expertise of Amazon’s Global Real Estate and Facilities organization.

• Work as part of the ICC global team to develop innovative internal communications strategies, clear narratives, and clever tactics that are tailored to, and engage, Amazon’s corporate employees within and about Amazon’s buildings and in-office experiences.

• Work with the GREF leadership and operational communications teams and stakeholders, to source and deliver original content, including articles, videos, and events, that shine a spotlight on our buildings, employees, and Amazon’s culture.

• Coordinate with GREF’s operational communications team to integrate and manage Amazon’s in-office corporate employee communications channels for posters, digital screens, and campaign installations.

• Moderate and approve employee-submitted stories, posters, and other communications requests.

• Proactively build trust and maintain solid, cross functional relationships with the GREF global and regional leadership teams, GREF operational communications, and key internal stakeholders. Build and maintain mechanisms, SLAs, and ways of working between teams.

• Oversee the delivery of content to corporate employees, including publishing across all internal company channels, and ensuring messages maintain our high bar for quality.

• Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision making.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

  • 7+ years of developing and managing real estate or office culture communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs

  • Ability to juggle tasks effectively, excellent prioritization and time management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
